The Profile of Wellbeing (2018) provides a portrait of population wellbeing in Waterloo Region using existing data.
The Profile was completed by the Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW) using the most recent data that was available at time of publication. The indicators of wellbeing used in the Profile were selected by Wellbeing Waterloo Region’s Measurement and Monitoring Working Group.
The report also describes how wellbeing in Waterloo Region compares to Ontario and Canada. The comparison of indicators is one important piece of information that helps us to understand how residents are doing and where we can direct greater efforts in planning and programming.

Profile of Wellbeing: Quantitative Data Indicator Tables (2017)
Over several months the Measurement Working Group worked with the Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW) to identify indicators that measure the complexity of wellbeing under each of the eight domains of the CIW.
Some of these indicators are included in the “Profile of Wellbeing” report developed by the Canadian Index of Wellbeing. Others will be used by the community to provide deeper information to inform system and service planning.

Profile of Wellbeing: Focused Population Outreach (2017)
In order to ensure that we reached out to groups that may not typically participate in public input processes or that may get lost in the averages of general population health indicators (CIW), we implemented focused outreach with specific populations. The following documents summarize these findings.
